Bae Jungson
裴仲孫General?~1271
Bae Jungson (?–1271) was a military commander of Goryeo and the leader of the Sambyeolcho. In 1270, when the Goryeo court submitted to the Mongols and decided to move the capital from Ganghwa Island back to Gaegyeong, he opposed the decision, led the Sambyeolcho in revolt, and relocated their base southward to Jindo to carry on the resistance against the Mongols. His uprising is remembered as a symbol of Goryeo's effort to preserve its independence in the face of Mongol pressure.
