King Gaero

King Gaero was the 21st ruler of Baekje (reigned 455–475), also known as Geun-gaeru, whose personal name was Gyeongsa or Yeogyeong. During his reign, the Goguryeo king Jangsu attacked and captured the capital, Hanseong, and Gaero himself was killed, bringing an end to Baekje's Hanseong period. This defeat forced Baekje to move its capital to Ungjin (present-day Gongju), marking a major turning point in the kingdom's history.
