King Gongmin

恭愍王King

1330~1374

Gongmin was the 31st king of Goryeo, remembered for leading anti-Yuan reforms aimed at freeing the kingdom from Mongol interference. He recovered the long-lost northern territory by retaking the Ssangseong Commandery, and established the Jeonmin Byeonjeong Dogam to redress the lands and enslaved people unjustly seized by powerful aristocratic families. These reforms are regarded as an important effort to restore Goryeo's autonomy and social stability in its later years.
