Ha Wiji
河緯地Scholar1412~1456
Ha Wi-ji (1412-1456) was a civil official and scholar of the early Joseon period who served as Vice Minister of Rites. After King Sejo seized the throne from his young nephew King Danjong, Ha joined Seong Sam-mun and others in a plot to restore Danjong; when the scheme was discovered, he was executed. For this he is counted among the "Six Martyred Ministers" who gave their lives rather than betray their loyalty, and he is remembered to this day as a symbol of steadfast fidelity.
