Im Gyeongeop
林慶業General1594~1646
Im Gyeong-eop (1594–1646) was a military officer of the mid-Joseon period, a general who upheld a pro-Ming and anti-Qing stance. Around the time of the Qing invasion of 1636, he resisted the Qing forces from the stronghold of Baengmasanseong Fortress. His determination to remain loyal to Ming to the end is remembered today as an example of a Joseon commander's convictions amid the turbulent changes then reshaping East Asia.
