King Injong of Joseon

Injong (仁宗, 1515–1545) was the twelfth king of Joseon, ascending the throne in December 1544. He died in August 1545, only about eight months into his reign, making him one of the shortest-reigning monarchs in Joseon history. Though his brief rule left little in the way of major achievements, his early death and the surrounding question of royal succession hold a notable place in the political history of the period.
