Yi Sabu
異斯夫GeneralIsabu, a fourth-generation descendant of Naemul Maripgan, was a general and statesman of Silla active from the reign of King Jijeung to that of King Jinheung. In 512, during the thirteenth year of King Jijeung's reign, he brought Usan-guk (the area of present-day Ulleungdo) under Silla's control, an event long regarded as a key historical basis for Korea's sovereignty over Ulleungdo and Dokdo.
