Yi Sang

Yi Sang (1910–1937), whose real name was Kim Hae-gyeong, was a leading poet and novelist of Korea's Japanese colonial period. He is regarded as the writer who brought modernism and avant-garde experimentation into modern Korean literature in earnest. His serial poem "Crow's Eye View" and short story "Wings" left a distinct mark on Korean literary history through their dismantling of conventional form and language.
