King Jangsu

King Jangsu (394–491) was the 20th monarch of Goguryeo and the ruler who led the kingdom to its height in the 5th century. After taking the throne, he moved the capital to Pyongyang in 427 and pursued an active southward-expansion policy, seizing the Han River basin and greatly enlarging Goguryeo's territory. His long reign established Goguryeo as a major power in Northeast Asia.
