Kim Daeseong

Kim Dae-seong (700–775) served as a chief minister during the reign of King Gyeongdeok of Unified Silla and was also skilled in architecture and sculpture. He initiated the founding of Bulguksa Temple and the Seokguram Grotto, playing a key role in the flourishing of Silla Buddhist art and architecture. Both sites remain enduring symbols of Unified Silla culture to this day.
