Kim Jwajin

Kim Jwa-jin (金佐鎭, 1889–1930) was a military leader of the armed Korean independence movement during the Japanese colonial period. As commander of the Northern Military Administration Office (Bukro Gunjeongseo), he led troops and worked to organize independence forces in Manchuria. In 1920 he directed a major victory over the Japanese army at the Battle of Cheongsanri, which is remembered as one of the defining moments of the armed struggle for independence.
