Kim Yusin

金庾信General

Kim Yu-sin was a military commander who served Silla, descended from the royal house of Geumgwan Gaya. He led the defeat of Baekje at the Battle of Hwangsanbeol and then commanded the Silla-Tang War that drove Tang forces from the peninsula, playing a decisive role in Silla's unification of the Three Kingdoms. Though of Gaya origin, he rose to become Silla's foremost general and is remembered as a chief architect of that unification.
