Mangi and Mangsoi (亡伊 and 亡所伊) were figures who led an uprising of the lower classes during the Goryeo military regime period. In 1176 they rose up at Myeonghakso in Gongju against discrimination based on social status and excessive exploitation. Their resistance is cited as a representative example of the resistance of the lower classes amid the turbulent society of the military regime period. Traces related to the uprising remain at Myeonghakso in Gongju, the site of the rebellion.
