King Munjong of Joseon
文宗King1414~1452
Munjong (1414–1452) was the fifth king of Joseon and the eldest son of King Sejong. During his long years as crown prince he took part in governing the state and carried forward the policies of his father, but he passed away only about two years after ascending the throne in 1450. Despite his brief reign, he is remembered as a king who upheld the stable rule established under Sejong.
