Seo Hui

Seo Hui (942–998) was a civil official and diplomat of the Goryeo dynasty. When the Khitan launched their first invasion, he went to the enemy camp and, through negotiation, averted war while securing the Gangdong Six Districts as Goryeo territory. He is remembered as a figure who overcame a national crisis and expanded the kingdom's borders through diplomacy rather than force.
