Yu Seongwon
柳誠源Scholar?~1456
Yu Seong-won was a civil official of the early Joseon dynasty and one of the Six Martyred Ministers (Sayuksin). A scholar of the Hall of Worthies (Jiphyeonjeon), he took part in a plot to restore the deposed King Danjong, and when the plan was uncovered he took his own life. His courtesy name was Taecho, and he has long been honored as a minister who kept faith with his loyalty.
