This is a seated stone Buddha in Yongjusa Temple, Naebeopri, Hongseong-eup, Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. It was designated a Chungcheongnam-do Cultural Heritage Material on May 17, 1984. The seated stone Buddha is 136 cm in height and 80 cm in seated height, made of granite. It was originally kept at the former Gwanggyeongsa Temple site in Daegyo-ri, Hongseong-eup, then placed in the backyard of a private house in Ogwan-ri, and moved to its current location in April 1975. The face is round with long ears and snail-shell curls (nabal); the usnisa (topknot) is present but the nabal carving is indistinct and the usnisa is small. The eyebrows are semi-circular and the eyes are nearly straight. There are three rings (samdo) on the neck, and the robe is expressed in relief. Based on the realistic facial expression and simplified lotus seat, this is estimated to be a Goryeo-period work.
