Chungnyeongsa is a shrine built by Hongseong-gun in 1978 to enshrine the memorial tablets of fallen soldiers and officers who gave their lives defending freedom and democracy during the Korean War and the Vietnam War, as well as those who died in service while protecting the national territory. The site covers 18,600 pyeong of land, with a main hall of 14.7 pyeong and a triple gate of 4 pyeong, all in traditional wooden tile construction. Every year on June 6, Memorial Day, government and organization leaders, veterans' families, and local residents gather here to hold a memorial ceremony.
