Yesan Confucian School was first built in the 13th year of King Taejong (1413). It underwent major repairs in the 9th year of King Sunjo (1809), and the east and west dormitories were repaired in 1975 and 1976. The surviving buildings include the Daeseongjeon shrine, Myeongnyundang lecture hall, east and west dormitories. A biannual ceremony is held in the lunar 2nd and 8th months. The layout follows the traditional 'school in front, shrine behind' pattern.
