Duma Sinwonjae is the ancestral ritual hall of Kim Bi, the ninth son of Kim Jangsaeng (pen name Sagye), built during the mid-Joseon period. The hall has a hip-and-gable roof with a single eave, measuring four bays wide and 1.5 bays deep, of the guruldori bracket type. A plaque bearing the name 'Sinwonjae' (Sinwon Ritual Hall) hangs on the front. Sinwonjae (愼遠齋) was a place where, after their father's passing, Kim Bi's brothers—including Shin-dokjae Kim Jip (愼獨齋 金集)—jointly constructed the building in 1632 and compiled their grandfather's and father's Kim Jangsaeng's writings here. After the death of Shin-dokjae, Kim Bi, the youngest brother, also organized and compiled the writings of Hwang-gang haengjang, silgi, and the complete works of Sagye and Shin-dokjae. The hall has historical significance and, despite multiple repairs over the years, retains its original form as a traditional Korean ancestral hall.
