This main building was designed by Park Dong-jin for Kim Seong-su, who took over management of Bosung College (the predecessor of Korea University), with construction beginning in 1933 and completed in 1934. The building is three stories tall (with a six-story central tower), built in Gothic style with granite as the main material in a bilaterally symmetrical plan. The floor plan is H-shaped with a wide hall in the center. Tiger statues symbolizing the spirit of the school are carved on the two stone pillars at the main entrance, and hibiscus flowers are carved on the stone pillar of the central rear gate.
