Gyeongsan Geumhoseowon is an academy built to enshrine the memorial tablet of Mungyeonggong Heo Jo. Since 1922, Heo Hu and Heo Jo have been enshrined there together. Passing through the outer three-bay gate whose plaque reads 'Jundomun', one comes face to face with the lecture hall Sugyodang, and on the left side of the courtyard stands Seonggyeongjae, a 4-bay gable-roofed tiled house covered with flat tiles. On the sloping ground on the right side of the courtyard, facing Seonggyeongjae, the shrine is placed; around the shrine a square earth-and-stone wall is set up to create a separate space, and in front of the wall stands a 3-bay flat gate, the inner three-bay gate (naesammun).
