Seoktansa Temple is a traditional Buddhist temple nestled in the cliff face of Yongtaebong peak on Seoktan in Chilbo-myeon, Jeongeup. Its founding date is unclear. It was burned during the Japanese invasions in the early reign of King Seonjo, rebuilt by Park Ing-geol during the reign of King Yeongjo, and again destroyed in the 1894 Donghak Revolution. The temple was rebuilt in 1973 and offers a panoramic view of the western sea on clear days.
