Uiyeolsa is a shrine established by Hong Gasin, the magistrate of Buyeo County, to honor three loyal ministers of Baekje — Seongchung, Heungsu, and Gyebaek — and the late Goryeo loyalist Yi Jono. Later, the Joseon scholar Jeong Taekroe (added during the reign of King Seonjo, r. 1567–1608) and the civil official Hwang Ilho (1588–1641, added during the reign of King Injo, r. 1623–1649) were also enshrined, bringing the total to six figures honored today; memorial rites are held every spring and autumn. The shrine was first built in the 8th year of King Seonjo of Joseon (1575), rebuilt in the 19th year of King Injo (1641), demolished in the 3rd year of King Gojong (1866), and then rebuilt again. The current structure was relocated in 1971 from its original location on Mangwolsan Mountain in Yongjeong-ri to the present Namnyeong Park. The shrine building is a three-bay by three-bay gable-roof structure. In the vicinity are the Buyeo Hyanggyo (Confucian school), the National Buyeo Museum, the Buyeo Gwanbuk-ri Archaeological Site, the Buyeo Ssangbuk-ri kiln site, and Busosanseong Fortress.
