Husanjeongsa is where the spirit tablet of Kim Sa-won—a civil official of the early Joseon period and a disciple of Yi Hwang—is enshrined. It was built in 1749, but was demolished under the order abolishing seowon issued by the Heungseon Daewongun; in 1991 the lecture hall and main gate were rebuilt, giving it its present form. Husanjeongsa comprises a gatehouse, a shrine, a jusa (caretaker's quarters), and a servants' gate quarters.
