About this place

Banyasa Temple has utilized an old abandoned limestone mine to create a cave dharma hall, main hall, a large outdoor Maitreya Buddha statue, a rocky gorge, and other features. Upon entering, the cliff and the main hall are visible at a glance. Behind the main hall there is a path leading down to the cave dharma hall. It is cool in summer and warm in winter. In the past, this was a limestone quarry, and during the Japanese colonial period it served as a place of forced labor. The cave dharma hall features colorful lighting. There is also a place where a mountain deity is enshrined, and there is a small pond formed by underground water.
