Gwanmunsa Temple, located at the foot of Umyeonsan in southern Seoul, is a cradle of the Cheontae Order in the Seoul metropolitan area and a center for Buddhist propagation. It sits within the natural surroundings of Cheonggyesan, Umyeonsan, and the Yangjaecheon stream. National Preceptor Uicheon brought the Cheontae school to Korea to unify and correct the disordered Goryeo Buddhism of his day. The temple integrates modern and traditional Buddhist architectural styles and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for hosting various domestic and international cultural, academic, and religious events. It offers diverse programs to help modern people find inner peace.
