Dongjeolsa Shrine in Nam-myeon was established in 1962 in Naegok-ri, Buyeo-gun. It enshrines the spirit tablets of the brothers Yi Ji-si and Yi Ji-rye, who died in battle fighting Japanese forces at Suwon Fortress during the Imjin War and were posthumously awarded the title of Minister of Military Affairs. The shrine was built facing north on the hillside. The entrance is surrounded by a wall of cut stone, and the triple outer gate is a soaring samdoor style set on natural stone bases with square wooden posts. Inside the outer gate stands the shrine (2 bays wide, 2 bays deep): the front bay has a wooden veranda and the rear bay an open-plank floor with the two spirit tablets enshrined. The roof is a hip-and-gable style, though currently heavily altered. Nearby attractions include Seyangsa Shrine, Hongsan Royal Guesthouse, and Hongsan-dongheon Government Hall.
