Haksoam Temple is located on the western slope of Godeok Mountain in Jeonju. It was founded in 1786 (the 10th year of King Jeongjo) by the monk Gwanghye and is affiliated with Geumsansa Temple. The complex includes the Jaeum-jeon and Geungnakjeon halls, both housing wooden and stone Buddhist statues. The name Haksoam is believed to derive from the temple's resemblance to a crane's nest.
