Jeongsansa is a shrine of the Changnyeong Cho clan, a late Joseon period sanctuary honoring Cho Seo, a civil official of the early Joseon period, and Cho Uigi, a scholar of the late Joseon period, along with the filial son Cho Eonching. It stands on the eastern roadside at the entrance to Geomam village from Wolsan village. Cho Eonching was devoted to his parents with great sincerity from an early age and was a model of his time. The shrine was founded in 1797 (the 21st year of King Jeongjo) with the enshrinement of Yuchang, Yuhanryang, and Cho Seo. It was abolished in 1868 (the 5th year of King Gojong), and in 1900 (the 37th year of King Gojong) an altar was re-established. In 1976 during reconstruction, Yuchang and Yuhanryang were separately enshrined at the Josansa, and Cho Uigi and Cho Eonching were added. The shrine building has a gabled roof spanning three bays with a lecture hall, Myeongdeokjae, inner and outer gates, a book depository, and the caretaker's room. The memorial rite is held on the 5th day of the 9th lunar month.
