About this place

This is the tomb of the 6th king of Silla, King Jima (r. 112–134). The son of King Pasa (5th king), he reigned for 23 years, repelling incursions by Gaya, Wa, and Malgal. During his reign Silla maintained friendly relations with Baekje but competed with Gaya for control of the lower Nakdong River. When Wa raiders crossed the eastern borders, he negotiated a peace; when Malgal attacked from the north, he expelled them with Baekje's help. The tomb is located 200 m south of Poseokjeong on the western slope of Namsan. It is one of the smaller royal tombs, and its location and form suggest the interior is likely a stone-chamber passage tomb.
