Seoul designates and manages modern and contemporary cultural assets of value to future generations as 'Seoul Future Heritage'. The National 4·19 Democracy Cemetery and Mun Ik-hwan's House are among them; the House of Yun Geuk-yeong is especially significant as the very first to be selected. Active in the 1920s–30s, Yun Geuk-yeong composed children's songs such as 'Bandal (Half Moon)', 'Seollal (New Year)', 'Three Umbrellas in a Row' and 'Goduerum (Icicles)'. He produced Korea's first children's song book, also titled 'Bandal', earning the affectionate nickname 'Grandpa Half-Moon'.
