The Noh Dong-hwan House in Hucheon Village, Samgye-myeon, Imsil is one of the remaining examples of joseon-era village gentry (hyangban) residences. Situated at the highest point in the village on an auspicious site said to resemble a swallow incubating eggs, the house is a well-preserved example of traditional Joseon upper-class residential architecture.
