Yongho Seowon is located near Yukmojeong pavilion. It was founded in 1927 by the leading Confucian scholars of the Wondong Village Covenant (원동향약계). At its founding, it enshrined and venerated the portrait of the Song-dynasty Confucian philosopher Zhu Xi (朱子), but later the figures honored were changed to Song Byeongseon (pen name Yeonjae), a patriotic activist of the late Joseon period, Kim Jaehong (pen name Yeungsong), who nurtured students and spread virtue in the Namwon region, and Kim Jongga (pen name Ipheon). The seowon buildings were repaired in 1974. Today the compound consists of a gabled-roof shrine (gyeongyangjsa) with three bays across and one deep, the Mokgandang and Suseongjae dormitory buildings (east and west wings), and a tall three-bay gate (솟을 삼문).
