About this place

These artifacts are located in a spot known as Daesadong, where a large temple once stood in the late Goryeo period, giving rise to the place name 'Daesadong.' The total height of the stone pagoda is 5 m; it has a double base, pagoda body, and roof stones. Corner pillar carvings (uju) are present on each story of the pagoda body, and the roof stones have 4-tier supports with upward-curving corners. The finial (sangryun) is not preserved. The flagpole supports (danggan jiju) located at the same site are estimated to be from the same period as the pagoda; two pillars face each other, but their condition cannot be confirmed due to the burial and loss of the base stones. The two pillars are of differing heights, one being 3.96 m and the other 3.81 m, as the tops are damaged and lost, resulting in unequal total heights.
