Bonwonjeongsa Temple (Seoul)

Bonwonjeongsa is a Korean Jogye Order Daegakhoe temple on Samgaksan in Suyu-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul. It enshrines a wooden seated Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva statue said to have been moved here after a fire at Taegosa during the Korean War. Ksitigarbha is the bodhisattva who saves sentient beings in the buddha-less age between Sakyamuni and Maitreya.
