Gamcheon Culture Village

Gamcheon Culture Village in Saha-gu, Busan, is a stepped hillside neighborhood of pastel-colored houses, alley murals, and sculptural installations that has become one of Busan's most celebrated cultural and arts destinations. The settlement grew from a wartime refugee camp during the Korean War, and through an arts regeneration project it has earned the nickname the Machu Picchu of Korea for its distinctive tiered cityscape.
