Taejongdae

Yeongdo-gu, Busan

A coastal scenic area at the southern tip of Yeongdo-gu, Busan, where sheer cliffs and dense forest create a breathtaking landscape. The name derives from the legend that the Silla King Taejong Muyeol so delighted in the spectacular scenery that he came here to practice archery. From the clifftop observation deck, Yeongdo Lighthouse, and Sinseongbawi Rock, visitors can take in the wide-open South Sea and Oryukdo Islets. The Danubi tourist train that circuits the park lets visitors cover the major sights easily. The blue sea and jagged cliffs together make it a signature Busan photo spot and a perennially refreshing destination.
