Cheonjiyeon Falls

Seogwipo, Jeju

Located near the heart of Seogwipo city on Jeju Island, Cheonjiyeon Falls is one of the island's most celebrated natural landmarks. Its name means 'pond where heaven and earth meet,' and the falls plunge 22 meters into a deep emerald pool below. The path leading to the falls winds through dense subtropical forest, home to the rare Elaeocarpus sylvestris var. ellipticus trees designated as a Natural Monument. After dark, the falls are illuminated by soft lights, creating a magical photo opportunity that draws visitors of all ages. The combination of the roaring water and lush greenery delivers a refreshing and tranquil atmosphere unlike anywhere else on Jeju.
