Oedo Botania, floating off Haegumgang in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province, is a botanical garden covering an entire island inside Hallyeohaesang National Park, landscaped to resemble a Mediterranean garden. The island is celebrated for its themed gardens filled with palm trees, cacti, and subtropical plants, as well as its iconic white Venus sculpture, and has been used repeatedly as a film and drama filming location. The ferry journey from Jisimdo or Hakdong pier to the island is itself a scenic passage through the picturesque waterways of Hallyeosudo. The panoramic view of Hallyeohaesang National Park's island-dotted sea from the hilltop observation deck is the memory most visitors cherish long after their trip.
