Hallasan

Jeju

The highest mountain on Jeju Island and in South Korea, at 1,947 meters above sea level, and the island's defining symbol. At the summit sits Baengnodam, a crater lake formed by rainwater collected in a volcanic caldera, which creates an ethereal landscape. Several hiking trails—Seongpanak, Gwaneumsa, and Yeongsil—each reveal different faces of nature through the seasons. Spring azaleas, autumn foliage, and winter snowscapes earn it recognition as a four-season photography destination. Designated a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, Hallasan's majestic ridgelines and crisp mountain air create a grand and awe-inspiring atmosphere.
