Hyeopjae Beach in Hallim-eup, Jeju City, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, is the representative beach of western Jeju with emerald-clear transparent waters and fine white sand as pure as snow. With its shallow depth and calm waves, it is popular as a family beach destination, and on clear days the silhouette of Biyangdo Island beyond the shoreline hangs like a painting, making it the top sunset photo spot on the island. Nearby are Hyeopjae Cave and Ssangyong Cave, lava tube caves, allowing visitors to enjoy both sea bathing and cave exploration. In spring, the combination of blue skies and yellow canola flower fields makes it a gem of western Jeju that is beautiful in every season.
