Manjanggul Cave

Jeju

A massive lava tube about 7.4 kilometers long in eastern Jeju, designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. The cave interior, carved out by volcanic lava flows, preserves a wealth of volcanic features including lava stalactites and lava stalagmites. Visitors can explore the roughly one-kilometer public section and experience the cave's cool, mysterious interior. At the end of the accessible portion stands a lava column 7.6 meters tall - the world's largest - a must-see photo spot. The chilly air and the cave's dark, cavernous space evoke a profoundly mysterious and awe-inspiring atmosphere.
