Homigot Cape
Pohang, Gyeongbuk
Located at the southeastern tip of Pohang in North Gyeongsang Province, this cape is known as a famous East Sea sunrise spot — said to correspond to the tail of a tiger on the Korean peninsula map. The massive Hands of Harmony sculpture rising above the sea is the symbol of this place, creating a spectacular scene with the sunrise. The plaza houses the Lighthouse Museum and the New Millennium Memorial Hall, which are worth visiting together. A photo of the sun rising above the palm of the giant hand is the defining photo spot of Homigot. The endless horizon and the refreshing sea breeze together create a wide-open, liberating atmosphere.
