Kkotji Beach

A beach located on Anmyeon Island in Taean, South Chungcheong Province, celebrated as one of the finest sunset spots on the west coast. The two rocky islets offshore—Halmibawi (Grandmother Rock) and Harabibawi (Grandfather Rock)—are the beach's symbols, and the sight of the sun descending between them is breathtaking. At low tide you can walk out to the rocks and admire them up close. The moment when the sunset dyes the sea and rocks red is a cherished spot for photographers.
